If you wanted to walk further you could walk down through the small wood, Lawrence Wood, across the fields to the canal, turn left along it, go just past the canal wharf, up the lane into Hartshill, past the pubs ( both pubs do food)and back to the bottom of the large wood which across the road from the Stag and Pheasant ( steps at the right side of the flats).
